We recently purchased a modular home form Mayland Home’s salesman John Duncan. Our floor plan was a customized plan. John made sure that the floor plan was exactly the way we wanted it before it was sent to Hand Crafted. He had wonderful ideas that helped us complete our plan that best fit out needs. John and his staff worked extra hard to ensure our satisfaction; the quality of our home was outstanding. The service provided was precise and prompt. We greatly appreciate John and the staff at Mayland Homes for doing their jobs, and going above and beyond to help us get into our new home. We highly recommend to anyone building a new home to Hand Crafted Homes through Mayland Homes.

We are settling into our new Handcrafted home and wanted to let you know how happy we have been with the entire process.

The quality and style of the home rivals any stick-built house. I was able to customize so many things that made it even more unique and special. They were so helpful in deciding on the various options and custom touches.

One of the best parts of the process was working with Jon Duncan, Mayland Homes in Spruce Pine, NC. Jon went way above and beyond in creating a fantastic home. Jon has a great group of people working with him. Shannon and Mike were always available, friendly and helpful. There is an entire contingent of craftsmen who all contributed to the final product. They included plumbers, electricians, painters, tile and wood flooring installers and deck, basement and garage builders. On particular, our new friend, Mel Tehanden, who did the spectacular rock work and landscaping. Jon should be proud of the outstanding group of people helping him create these wonderful homes.

Jon was willing to take as much time as I needed to answer all my questions and provided invaluable advice. I consider him a great friend.

Dear Mr. Murray,

During 2012 my husband George and I purchased two Cherryville€ homes from HandCrafted Homes in New Bern, NC. We are writing to express our appreciation for all the help and assistance we received from your associates Ed Byrns and Len Fairfield in New Bern.

As construction started on our first house, my husband went into the hospital and remained in the hospital for 6 weeks. Len and Ed did everything from finding a vendor to clear the lot to submitting applications and drawings for permits and approvals. They couldn’t have made the process easier for us during this stressful time. For our second Cherryville home, Len was very helpful in helping us customize our home, and Ed was wonderful in keeping us informed during every phase of the building process. It has been a pleasure working with both of them.

We are very pleased with the quality of our HandCrafted Homes and hopefully we can work with Ed and Len and HandCrafted Homes again in the future.
